What You’ll See on the Adams Grove Trail:
Wander through a quiet wood with tall, thick-barked redwoods dotting the way. The path descends just a bit toward Smith River into a hollow revealing the modest but alluring Adams Grove. Take just a moment to bask in one of the sunbeams that dance through the grove.
Note that trailhead parking at Adams Grove is tricky. Look for the Ernest & Lou Adams Grove sign on the western side of Highway 199 and park on the narrow bank of dirt.
Why We Love this Redwood National Park Trail:
When you don’t have a lot of time, the trailhead is right on Highway 199 so you can jump right into forest surroundings. Adams Grove is a short, easy stroll and reveals a splendid grove of old growth redwoods at the end of the .3 miles.
