Change a Child’s Story
Become a Del Norte CASA Volunteer and You Can Make the Difference in A Child’s Life
The goal of CASA volunteer advocates is to prevent abused, neglected and abandoned children from becoming lost in the foster care system by providing individual and high-quality advocacy to the foster children we serve.
What is a CASA?
Since 1977, Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA volunteers have worked to ensure that abused and neglected children have a stable and caring adult by their side as they navigate the foster care system. No child should have to go this road alone.
You Can Make a Difference in the World, One Child at a Time.
Advocates come from all walks of life, with a variety of professional, educational, and ethnic backgrounds. Just a few hours a week can change a child’s life, and your own, by knowing you are making a difference in a child’s life. This can change your life, and the color of your community.
Why Do We Need You?
As long as child abuse and neglect occur, the need for new advocates exists. In Del Norte County alone there are hundreds of children going through the system every year. They need their CASA’s to help them navigate this scary world. You can help them.
