    Change a Child’s Story Become a Del Norte CASA Volunteer and You Can Make the Difference in A Child’s Life The goal of CASA volunteer advocates is to prevent abused, neglected and abandoned children from becoming lost in the foster care system by providing individual and high-quality advocacy to the foster children we serve.   What is a CASA? Since 1977, Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA volunteers have worked to ensure that abused and neglected children have a stable and caring adult by their side as they navigate the foster care system. No child should have to go this road alone. You Can Make a Difference in the World, One Child at a Time. Advocates come from all walks of life, with a variety of professional, educational, and ethnic backgrounds. Just a few hours a week can change a child’s life, and your own, by knowing you are making a difference in a child’s life. This can change your life, and the color of your community.
