Come float (in costumes!) down the Smith River at the 58th annual Gasquet Raft Race at the Forks in Gasquet. Every July, people break out their favorite floaties — think rafts, kayaks, giant swans, and even air mattresses — to drift down the sparkling Smith River and compete for prizes. Costumes and raft decor is strongly encouraged. Register your raft to win prizes, and do good by supporting local veterans.

The post-float after party rages on with prizes and awards, activities for kids, live music, a margarita bar, beer garden, and tasty Taylor’s famous sausage from nearby southern Oregon. The annual event is a fundraiser for local veterans and the American Legion Post 548.
