Gasquet Raft Race on the Smith River in Del Norte County, California.

Come float (in costumes!) down the Smith River at the 54th annual Gasquet Raft Race at the Forks in Gasquet. Every July, people break out their favorite floaties — think rafts, kayaks, giant swans, and even air mattresses — to drift down the sparkling Smith River. Costumes and raft decor is strongly encouraged and can even win you prizes. Stay for live music, food and good drinks including craft beer and a margarita bar.

One hundred percent of the entry fee supports the American Legion and local veterans and includes a commemorative tee shirt. Sign up at the Gasquet American Legion Hall starting at 10am on race day!
